🐢 Turtle Trails & Hidden Treasures

Today’s adventure took us to the beautiful Beech Bluff County Park, and it was nothing short of magical. We laced up our hiking shoes and explored four stunning trails—each with its own charm and surprise around every bend.

The highlight? Spotting a gorgeous Eastern Box Turtle right alongside the path! With its bright orange markings and gentle presence, it felt like a little trail guardian watching over our journey. I’ve always had a soft spot for turtles—they’re such peaceful, wise little beings. Seeing one in the wild never gets old.

As we made our way through the Forest Loop, Beech Loop, and out to the Bluff Overlook, the shady trees gave us a cool escape from the summer sun, and the views from the overlook were worth every step.

But the surprises didn’t stop there—we also discovered beautifully decorated hidden rocks tucked along several of the trails. Some had painted animals, others had kind words or nature scenes. The kids loved hunting for them, and each find brought big smiles and a little extra wonder to our hike.

The Creek Loop was the perfect finale—cool, shaded, and full of birdsong. A peaceful way to wind down our morning and reflect on the simple joy of exploring together.
