Trail Mommas is thrilled to share some exciting news! We’ve been invited by the Triangle Land Conservancy to host a guided hike at their Wild Ideas event in April 2026. This is an incredible opportunity for us to bring families into nature, explore local trails, and share our love for outdoor learning with the wider community.

In addition to this exciting event, Trail Mommas has been actively supporting the ecoExplore program in the Raleigh-Durham area. By connecting our network of local contacts with the program director, we helped facilitate the addition of two new ecoExplore locations, expanding opportunities for children and families to discover and learn about nature close to home.

We’re proud to announce that the NC Arboretum and the ecoExplore program are now official Trail Mommas partners! Our staff will be volunteering to support the program by helping with ecoExplorer IDs, ensuring young adventurers have all the tools they need to track their outdoor discoveries.

But that’s not all — we’ve also starter the official Nature Journal Certification program through the Wild Wonder Foundation. This will help train our staff in the teaching of nature journaling and allow us to effectively use nature journals in our environmental education programs, giving families and children a fun, hands-on way to observe, document, and reflect on the natural world during every hike and outdoor activity.

With these exciting partnerships and initiatives, Trail Mommas continues to grow as a resource for families who want to connect with nature, explore new trails, and foster curiosity in their children. We can’t wait to see you at Wild Ideas in April and on the trails as we continue to explore, learn, and adventure together!
